Happy 4th!

Well, I just finished work and now I'm off to take full advantage of my vacation! I don't think I'll be posting again until Monday, but you never know - it's going to be 100+ degrees here through the weekend and I might get a little sick of camping and head back before then. Or if a dog passes out. Or I run out of beer. And bourbon.

In the spirit of the holiday, I thought I'd leave you all with a reminder of what makes America great:

Yes. American Dinosaurs. Kinda brings a tear to my li'l patriotic eye...

*sniff*

Enjoy the holiday, kids!

Not like those rotten COMMIE dinosaurs! Or in this case a Pterasaur. Of course the continents were all in different places at the time, would this be Pangaea or Gondwanaland?

Its giant America.
Later names only came about due to incomplete records of dinosaur Lincoln

Sally, as if I didn't love you before, you keep throwing those Dino-terms around like that, I won't be responsible for my actions. Fair warning, you li'l minx, you...

*Rowr, Rowr!*

Oh, and since it's a Pterosaur, (specifically a Pteranodon, based on the head) that makes it the mid-late Cretaceous period. And despite what Lincoln is saying (and "Lincoln" is lying throughout this story), that's 120ish to 65ish million years ago. So at that time, South Dakota would be called "A Big Ass Ocean that Cut through North America." Assuming Abe wasn't lying about that, too.
