Why, If I was 20 years older...

Another fantastic weekend gone by! Getting to be a habit. Suppose I can live with that.

But it's Monday, so - back to The Funny! (Or, what passes as the funny, anyways.)

The weather's just turned here in beautiful Idaho with temperatures starting to get a bit chilly at night. It's hard to plan your clothing, actually - you leave your house early with your (semi-) cold gear on, but by mid-afternoon, it's pretty warm and comfortable. So, in an effort to remind me of warmer times...

"Now where did I leave that Kryptonite paddle...?"

That's a giggler, right there.

Now, no more disturbances.. Heroes is about to start!

It's a curse, I tells ya!

No Most Wanted this week because frankly, there are so many good ones to pick from that I can't choose one. So let's move the funny into familiar ground:

Badly Photoshopped Toilet humor!

My mind, it scares me sometimes.

Bad Jokes and Dog Puke

Hey! He's back!

Yep - I had great time at the Helmet show (Hiya, sexy nerd girl!), followed by another fantastic mini-vacation camping with some buddies. We all agreed that we stumbled upon the greatest campsite ever and plan to head back there frequently. Wild foxes visited us, we dined like kings, and even got some fishing in. In fact, aside from (merely) one instance of my drunken embarrassing rantings, the only thing that went wrong was when I awoke one morning to my dog puking on me. Right on my head, into my sleeping bag, sleep mat, blanket, et all. Ug. But, everyone else got a laugh out of it.

So... back! Usual posts will continue. Unless I get distracted. In fact, I have a few ideas abou.... Hey! a squirrel!

Let's loosen up a little and take the easy route by once again stealing a panel from Adam over at CMNS. He rightly complained that the original (go click) was not funny. Or, very dated humor. I'll go with not funny. We can repair the funny by using an old bar joke that actually is from the same time period, and one I may remember from a Bazooka Joe wrapper.

('cept, you know.. with soda instead of Bourbon. So sue me. I like Bourbon.)

Cheers!

He's The G*ddamn Batman!

I just now finished reading All-Star Batman and Robin #6. Hey, I didn't expect it to arrive so soon, and I took my time reading it. So sue me! I've admitted in the past that I wasn't quite sure of this series; that I didn't quite "get it" and wondered if it was either some kind of crazy character experiment, or of ol' Frank was just screwing with us.

Now ... I get it. And it's fantastic. I get it, but I can't really explain it. It's strange like that.

Anyway, it's an amazingly enjoyable read, a great take on the character, and probably the most testosterone driven comic I get this side of Conan. I actually care if this thing is on time now.

I love The Goddam Batman. And he keeps busy:

Why, if he were a power card in a collectible card game?

I don't know why I thought of that.

Goddamn.

Quickie

Yes, I know I didn't post Friday. And yes, this is a quickie just to get something out there before I fall too behind.

See, the reason is that tonight is the 2-hour finale of 24 AND the finale of the 1st season of Heroes, two shows I've been following with a passion since the beginning. I'm not going to even try to ignore them and post anything close to substantial tonight. Maybe after.

So instead, here's the weirdest, most off-center WTF? Bazooka Joe comic you'll ever read.

(And, it's a modern one. You may find it yourself one of these days!)

Seriously... someone thought that was funny? Kid-funny? Huh. I'm confused.

(And, Heroes?!? Don't let me down, guys. You've nicely set up The Potential to end with The Awesome... Bring it home, now! Wow me.)
